Easy Access is HJÄRTA's direct sensor interface. HJÄRTA S1 provides five Easy Access ports. Each port can carry two signal paths and supply connected sensor equipment with 24 V.
How Easy Access works
- Connect a sensor or sensor box to an available Easy Access port.
- HJÄRTA detects the port and the connected signal paths.
- The technical signal is transmitted to VAKTEN.
- In VAKTEN, the signal receives its operational meaning – for example as a door contact, temperature value or another state.
- The signal can then be assigned to one or more Units and used for visualisation, rules and documentation.
Industrial M12 standard
Easy Access uses robust 8-pin M12 connectors. M12 is an established industrial standard widely used in machinery, automation and sensor technology.
HJÄRTA and a sensor box are connected using an 8-pin M12 cable. The screw-locking connection is mechanically robust and suitable for technical environments.
Using your own sensors
Easy Access is not limited to SVARTLIND sensor boxes. Suitable third-party sensors can also be connected as long as their power supply, output signal and wiring comply with the specified connection diagram.
For digital 24 V signals, the incoming sensor signal is converted inside HJÄRTA into an internal digital signal through an optocoupler. This keeps the external 24 V sensor side electrically isolated from the internal evaluation electronics.
Before connecting third-party sensors, always verify supply voltage, output type and wiring.
Port and signal path
Each Easy Access port provides two signal paths. HJÄRTA S1 therefore currently provides ten technical signal paths across five ports.
- EA1 → signal path 1 / 2
- EA2 → signal path 3 / 4
- EA3 → signal path 5 / 6
- EA4 → signal path 7 / 8
- EA5 → signal path 9 / 10
The technical channel number identifies the signal path, not its permanent operational meaning. Only in VAKTEN does it become, for example, a door contact, a temperature value or another part of the digital twin.
Additional sensors and sensor boxes
Compatible sensors, sensor boxes and 8-pin M12 connection cables are available from the SVARTLIND shop. Suitable third-party sensors can also be used when they comply with the specified wiring diagram.
Good to know
Easy Access separates the physical connection from its operational meaning. A signal can already be detected by HJÄRTA and transmitted to VAKTEN before it is assigned to a Unit. This keeps the hardware flexible and allows the digital twin to follow the real installation.
